THE INCREDIBLE STORY OF KIMBERKY & KELLY ANYADIKE!

Go Girl!
Do you remenber what your hobbies were like at 15 years old? dancing ?swimming,?baskteball perhaps?...well Kimberly Anyadike's hobby is flying . This teenager is part of the Tomorrow Aeronautical program in Compton for disavatanged kids which offers one on one flying lessons to kids with above average grades in exchange for community worl. The first thing I thought is that we should give it up to their parents who were smart enough to sign both Kimberly and her equally smart sister Kelly to this program.

Kimberly set her mind up to fly a single engine four seater cessnar 172 airplane for 13 days making her to this day the youngest African American woman to fly a private plan accompanied by Tuskagee Airman Levi Thornhill and safey pilot Ronell Norman . She also wanted to salute the courage of the Tuskagee Airmen through this adventure. I wasn't familiar with their story, it's the first all black unit that flew during World War II. Their story is very inspirational, they had to fight discrimination within and outside the army. Hard is not enough of a word to describe what these courageous men and women went through, in 2007 they finally received the respect that they deserved when they were awarded the Congressional Gold Award. Many of these soldiers had passed away already, isn't it sad that we don't pay respect to people until after their death.
While viewing a clip of Kimberly meeting some of these brave men, I was moved to see her crying. It dawn on me that at such a young age she understood what they did, the courage and determination they had.
Kimberly would like to become in the future a private pilote and a cardiac surgeon .

Kelly , her sister her older sister also broke the world record in 2008 at the age of 16 years old when she flew solo 4 different fixed-wing aircraft in a single day. On top of attening college , she also studies modern ballet plays the piano and the flute. It's nice to see active young women who are down to earth do extraordinary and simple things at the same time.
Both sisters have an amicable rivarly a la Venus & Serena:)
Job well done parents!
