MICHEL SIDIBE, FIRST AFRICAN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE UNAIDS!!











Michel Sidibe is a Touareg from Mali,he's the first African and Malian executive director of the UN funded organization for the fight against World combat against HIV/AIDS.


January 1st,2009 must have been such a beautiful day to wake up to since it was his first day in office.He leads a team of experts in 80 countries.


Before joining UNAIDS, he has worked in the health department for 25 years, serving with UNICEF in Congo and other African countries.




This married father of 4 is the perfect example that academics(he holds a masters in economics, 2 post masters in social development and demography, development and political economy) and perseverance pays of.
