INSPIRED TO DO BETTER!

Mr Frederic Kanoute looking up to sky ...loves that sign he makes

Three things inspired this post!

1-The Brooklyn Bridge
2-The Life of Dr West
3-Meeting a strong woman who goes after hers

I-The Brooklyn Bridge....
because walking on it, one realise that we are nothing..... just 1 dot among so many others, during this summer I walked on it almost every nite to go home...looking at the water, looking at the buildings from afar, seeing the tourists made me realise even more how our lives are so fragile, our dying would only affect a few people among this sea of human beigns that we are..so we have to cherish it , live it before we leave it...

II-The Life of Dr West.....

for those of you who may not know, Kanye West lost his mother; she was in the midst of her 50's and relatively young. I remenber her for being a wonderful mother & her son's number 1 fan. We all joke about Kanye's ego but maybe that 's what push him to get here...and that's because of his mother; she allowed him to be himself, she was a professor and she made sure that he got an education. I am inspired not by her death but her life, she seemed to live it to the fullest, she was young enough to enjoy her life and her son success...and that's how I would like to leave this world, having fulfilled my personal goals, and knowing that my children will be aight...RIP Dr West. I cannot imagine how this young man is coping with this, we all knew that the love of his life was his mama...he's gonna need a lot of prayers & a lot of support that I'm sure he'll get...

3- Inspired by a friend....
I was hanging out w/1 of my gals best friend- Clod who hails from Senegal, but is half Lebanese and half Cap Verdian. She's in town visiting, and it was wonderful speaking to such a simple, talented, driven African woman
who knows who she is and dare to dream it and live it. She lives in Cap Vert where she owns a beautiful young retail store, she's a businesswoman at 28. She supervises everything from the buying, to the cleaning of her store...speaking to her .. she said som' that struck my mind
"If you don't believe in your business no one else will" It doesn't necessarly have 2 be a store, it could be a carrier as a salesperson, a lawyer, a teacher, 1 singer..whatever it is that you believe in...being a mother, being a wifey, the most important is to find out what's your purpose on this earth and go after it.....

I am Inspired....

Very inspirational post indeed. You know, the most important motivating factor in life is you, yourself. Believe in yourself, have faith in yourself, Inchallah the world would then smile with you. We need to recognize ourselves before the world can recognize us, we need to value our inner self before someone can see value in us. Everything starts and ends with us... It is our reactions, our actions and our perceptions that shape who we are and who we will be to the world.
