ALAIN MABANCKOU , LE PETIT PRINCE DE LA LITTERATURE AFRICAINE

Alain as a child!

The author and his signature hat!

The writter and his prize winner book !

I Love It!!!...a writter, a poet and a fellow blogger...YEAH:)
Alain grew up in Congo and moved to France to study law following the wishes of his deceased mother who wanted him to become a lawyer.

After a long stay at the company "Lyonnaise des Eaux" he was offered the opportunity to work as a professor of Litterature at the University of Michigan.
A few years later, UCLA came knocking ; and the rest is history .He's now working as a professor at the Department of French & Francophone Studies..
But that was not the "happily ever after end" for our multi-talented author, he managed to writte 6 novels along his professional career.
Among those, 2 were nominated to the Prix Renaudot(the equivalent of the National Book Award).
The last one "Memoires de Porc-Epic" won the respected award, pushing him to world stardorm.

Anywhoo he has his own personal webbie and a blog (this man is no joke hun)

Djaa les Congolais sont dans le chaud:)
Eyee Wayee:)
